Who we Are

Our process is streamlined and our focus is narrow. This has happened organically over the course of our careers and we followed our skillset. With years of experience in ornamental fabrication, both commercial and residential, we have completed many complex projects large and small with precision and accuracy. The culmination of those years of experience is Heatwave Design.

Owner Tony DeBauche is an experienced craftsman and designer who began fabricating fine furniture while living in Austin, Texas. Since moving to the Pacific Northwest, Tony has worked on many large-scale commercial builds in and around the Seattle area.

Ian Webster has been in construction for many years. He started out in residential construction as an apprentice, and ended as a commercial install foreman for one of the largest ornamental steel fabricators in Washington before starting a Heatwave with Tony. Ian has complex problem solving abilities and expansive knowledge of the metal fabrication process, as well as precision survey and drafting skills for designing custom projects.

We both love spending our free time in the outdoors and creating. All of our work is inspired by the things we love and we strive to be active members in our community. Ian spends his free time building mountain bike trails and volunteer coaching through a youth mountain bike program called Radical Rippers through Radical Roots. Heatwave Design donates a portion of our proceeds to local organizations such as the NorthWest Therapeutic Riding Center and also the WMBC. If you’d like a portion of your projects proceeds to go to a specific organization, please let us know!
